Evolution of an In Situ Lease (The 30 Year Horizon)

COSIA’s Land Environmental Priority Area (EPA) is focused on reducing the footprint intensity and impact of oil sands mining and in situ operations on the land and wildlife of northern Alberta. Through this E-Seminar, Representatives from COSIA’s Land EPA Steering Committee will share a detailed account of all the work performed during the exploration, development and production phases of a generic in situ oil sands project over a 30 year horizon. The presentation will showcase a typical in situ oil sands project to provide a framework for discussing policies related to oil sands lease tenure, caribou range planning and other related oil sands policies.
