CRIN CCUS Lunch and Learn
September 19 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Join CRIN and its Low Emissions Value Added Product group for this special event on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage.
Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) has received increasing attention recently, with the Paris Agreements and recent tax incentives introduced in the US for carbon capture, storage and enhanced oil recovery applications. This lunch and learn will provide an overview of some of the current activities and projects in Alberta related to carbon capture, utilization and storage.
Specifically, Dr. Joule Bergerson, from the University of Calgary, will highlight a new life cycle assessment tool to determine net carbon benefits for conversion/utilization technologies, Dr. Shawn McCoy, also from the University of Calgary, will present on opportunities for direct air capture for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and industry projects will also be highlighted.
Lunch will be provided for those that attend in person and order at least 24hrs in advance.
All tickets (online and in-person) are not available for order less than an hour before the event starts.
